Hello there, I’m Anna.

I create mostly abstract watercolor paintings. My pieces usually start with a singular inspiration and then unfold intuitively. This approach allows the colors and forms to dance across the canvas and tell stories in surprising ways. To me, art is a powerful point of connection to ourselves and others that, ultimately, builds a bridge to richer human experiences.

When I'm not painting, I'm living rural life in Minnesota with my husband and our beloved dog. Much of my inspiration comes from road trips, classic literature, music, paddling across solitary lakes, the natural world around me and the people in it. These influences are woven throughout the various series that you'll see featured in my gallery and my shop.
